Live Music Fundraiser Slated for August 19, 2025

Join the community for an evening of live music at the 4th annual Rotary Rocks for ShelterBox, hosted by the Rotary Club of Rockford, Michigan. The event is being held at the Garden Club Park band shell in downtown Rockford, Michigan, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, starting at 6:30PM
  • Enjoy a musical showcase from Roosevelt Diggs at 6:30PM, a group celebrated for blending Folk, Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Rockabilly, and Rock into a rich Americana experience.
  • Stay for Nicholas James and the Bandwagon at 7:50PM, known for delighting audiences with their unique Americana fusion since 2010.
All donations raised during the event support Shelterbox, a charity dedicated to ensuring no one is without shelter following a disaster. Your attendance helps provide emergency relief to those in need.

*  At the event:  Fill the donation duck with Cash or Checks

*  ShelterBox Direct Donation: Give to ShelterBox USA, specifying the Rockford event if possible. Donations can be made as a one-time gift or set up as recurring support. Options include credit/debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Venmo, check, or bank transfer. 
 
*  Mail a Check: Send a check made out to "Rockford Rotary Club," PO Box 347, Rockford, MI 49341, noting “ShelterBox” in the memo line

  • Sponsorships: Sponsorships for the concert are still available. Reach out to the Rotary Club of Rockford for details on sponsorship packages and recognition. Sponsors help cover event costs so all collected donations can go directly to ShelterBox. A Michigan-based Americana band known for their powerful blend of Folk, Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Rockabilly, and Rock and Roll. The group is anchored by brothers Levi and Logan Duddles, joined by Jon Shears on upright bass and Jeff Leitch on percussion. Their music honors the Michigan tradition of acoustic-based performance, emphasizing highly energetic live shows and strong audience connection.
 
Their concerts are described as an interactive exchange of emotions between the band and audience, creating a vibrant and engaging live music experience that feels unique each time. Nicholas James & the Bandwagon is a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Americana band that blends Folk, Rock, Country, and a unique style they call "Hippie Tonk." The band features rich 3-part harmonies, dual electric guitars, pedal steel, and fiddle woven around acoustic guitar and strong lead vocals by frontman Nicholas James Thomasma.

They have been active since around 2010, performing at festivals, breweries, community concerts, and theaters across Michigan. Their sound is notably shaped by the pedal steel guitar, described as the "mystery machine" for its sustaining and sliding qualities that add depth and color to the music.The band is praised for engaging, high-energy live shows that blend heartfelt storytelling with a classic yet fresh Americana sound, often including tributes to Bob Dylan, a major influence on Nicholas.
